What is a Daily Stress Score?
Discover how your daily stress score is measured

Your Daily Stress Score shows how your body is coping with physical, emotional, and mental demands throughout the day.
It’s not about how busy you are — it’s about how your nervous system responds and recovers.
Welldo calculates this score using two key indicators of your body’s internal balance:
1. Heart Rate Variability (HRV) — how flexible and adaptive your heartbeat is
2. Resting Heart Rate (RHR) — how calm your heart stays when you’re at rest
How Welldo calculates it
Every day, Welldo looks at your last 30 days of HRV and RHR data from Apple Health.
Then, our algorithm:
1. Detects your personal baseline — your usual HRV and RHR patterns when you’re balanced.
2. Compares today’s values to that baseline.
3. Adjusts for trends — how stable or variable your HRV and RHR have been recently.
4. Our algorithm looks at your personal 30-day trends to find your unique baseline. Then, each new day’s data is compared against that baseline to understand whether your body is in balance, under pressure, or fully recovered.
5. This is transformed into your Daily Stress Score, which falls into one of four easy-to-read zones:
🟢 Great — Your body is balanced and calm. Keep doing what works.
🔵 Normal — Slight stress detected, but your system is adapting well.
🟠 Attention — Your body is showing signs of tension. Take time to rest or recharge.
🔴 Overload — High physiological stress detected. Prioritize recovery today.
Your Daily Stress Score helps you see what your body’s trying to tell you — so you can respond before stress takes a toll.
