Watch Faces & Complications
Why Are My Complications Not Updating or Updating Slowly?
It's important to understand how Apple Watch complications work.

It's important to understand how Apple Watch complications work.
Unlike the clock, complications aren't designed to update continuously in real time. Instead, watchOS refreshes them periodically throughout the day to help preserve battery life and optimize performance. Depending on system conditions, a complication may refresh within a few minutes or take up to 30 minutes.
The refresh schedule is determined entirely by watchOS, not by Welldo. Factors such as battery level, system activity, memory usage, and other background processes can all affect when complications are updated.
If your Welldo complications refresh every few minutes or within approximately 30 minutes, this is expected behavior.
When Should I Be Concerned?
If your complications haven't updated for several hours, or they only refresh after opening the Welldo app on your Apple Watch, there may be a synchronization issue. Try the following steps.

1. Verify Health Permissions
Welldo requires access to Apple Health data to update your complications.
On your iPhone:
• Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Welldo.
• Make sure all requested permissions are enabled.
On your Apple Watch:
• Open Settings → Health → Data Sources, Apps & Services → Welldo.
• Verify that all permissions are enabled.

2. Check Background App Refresh
Background App Refresh allows watchOS to periodically update app data in the background.
On your Apple Watch:
• Open Settings → General → Background App Refresh.
• Ensure Background App Refresh is enabled.
• Confirm that Welldo is allowed to refresh in the background.
On your iPhone:
• Open Settings → General → Background App Refresh.
• Make sure the feature is enabled and that Welldo is allowed to refresh.
Although Apple states that Background App Refresh doesn't directly control complication updates, enabling it can improve update reliability in some cases.

3. Manually Refresh the Data
If you've recently synced new health data or simply want your complications to reflect the latest information without waiting for the next automatic refresh, you can manually refresh all Welldo complications.
HOW TO REFRESH YOUR COMPLICATIONS
1. Open the Welldo app on your Apple Watch.
2. Scroll to the last page.
3. Tap Reload all widgets.
4. Wait a few seconds while your Apple Watch reloads all Welldo complications.
Once the refresh is complete, your watch face will display the latest available data from Welldo.
4. Restart Your Devices
Restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch. This often resolves temporary synchronization issues, particularly on newer versions of watchOS where background processes may occasionally become unresponsive.
5. Still Having Problems?
If you've completed all of the steps above—including reinstalling the Welldo Watch app and restarting both devices—and your complications still don't update automatically, please contact our support team.
To help us investigate, include:
• A screenshot of iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Welldo.
• A screenshot of Apple Watch Settings → General → Background App Refresh.
• Your iPhone model and iOS version.
• Your Apple Watch model and watchOS version.
With this information, we'll be able to investigate the issue and help you get your complications updating properly.
Final tip
You may force to reload data from the "Welldo" watch app after you give access to Health Kit.
