Sleep Tracking
Why is My Sleep Data Empty?
Possible reasons no sleep data is shown

Welldo shows sleep insights only when Apple Health provides enough sleep information. If your sleep card looks empty, it usually means sleep wasn’t recorded or couldn ’t be read. Here are the most common reasons—and how to fix them.
1. Sleep Wasn’t Recorded Overnight
Most recovery happens during sleep. If your Apple Watch isn’t worn while sleeping, Welldo has no opportunity to detect recovery.
This can happen if:
• The watch was not worn during the night
• The battery ran out before morning
• The watch was worn too loosely
• The watch was locked or powered off
Tip: Try wearing your watch snugly and charging it before bed.
2. Sleep Tracking Isn’t Turned On
Even if you wear your watch, sleep data won’t be recorded unless sleep tracking is enabled.
Make sure:
• Sleep tracking is enabled in the iPhone Watch app
• Sleep mode is active while you sleep
• Sleep mode stays on for at least 4 hours
Without this, Apple Health won’t generate usable sleep data.
3. Your Device or Software Doesn’t Meet Requirements
Sleep stage tracking requires:
• iOS 16 or newer
• watchOS 9 or newer
Older versions may record basic sleep time but won’t provide enough detail for Welldo insights.
How to Enable Sleep Tracking on Apple Watch
1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone
2. Go to Sleep
3. Turn on Track Sleep with Apple Watch
4. Make sure your watch:
• Is charged
• Is unlocked
• Is worn securely
• Enters Sleep Mode before bed
One Last Thing to Know
Sleep data is continuous, not daily resets. If sleep isn’t recorded one night, recovery can’t be detected—and this may affect features like Body Battery and stress insights the next day.
Wearing your watch consistently at night helps Welldo give you the most accurate picture of your recovery.
